Diversas contas do Gmail foram desativadas na semana passada porque caíram no fogo cruzado entre o Google e uma rede de spammers. É o que diz esta mensagem publicada quinta-feira num fórum de discussão da empresa:

Subject: Disabled accounts

We've been targeting a large network of spammers to keep them out of the Gmail system, and we may have snared some legitimate accounts in the process. If you see the 'Sorry, your account has been disabled' message and believe this is an error, please report it at http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=61805 so we can investigate and help out. We know how important Gmail is to our users, so we apologize for the inconvenience.
